Putin asks government to ensure quick registration of COVID-19 tests

MOSCOW, Mar 30 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin asked the government to ensure quick registration of coronavirus tests on Monday.

"Many such systems have been created in Russia and I am asking you to ensure quick registration of new test systems. Please, do not put this on the back burner. Not only of Russian, but foreign origin, if necessary," Putin said.

Confident work and information about the anti-virus measures will be a good answer to provocations and deliberate lies to the people, Putin said.

Last week the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Yandex and Mail.ru Group established an alliance to promote testing for the COVID-19. The RDIF said that a test produced by a Russian–Japanese joint venture Medpromresurs was approved for use. Another test developed by a unit of multi-industry holding Sistema is still undergoing checks.
